FAQ
Imports and limits.
Straight answers about bringing in existing projects, and the boards PCBSurf leaves to specialists.
These answers describe PCBSurf as it's being built. Planned items are marked above.
Can I import an existing KiCad project?
Not yet. Importing supported KiCad projects is planned. Before it launches we will list exactly which features carry over and which do not.
What can't PCBSurf design yet?
Boards that need specialist tools and review: high-speed buses such as DDR memory, RF circuits beyond pre-certified modules, mains-powered or high-voltage designs, dense BGA packages, rigid-flex, more than 4 copper layers, blind or buried vias, and multi-sheet schematics. You can still describe them, and PCBSurf will tell you which parts of the design it can't check.

What will you build?
Describe it. PCBSurf drafts the board, and you can edit every part of it.
